Our Services

The Law Center employs three attorneys and four client advocates who provide legal services as well as critical case management and social services to clients. The attorneys together bring 20+ years of legal experience and specialize in issues including Housing Law, Family Law, Fair Labor Standards, and Special Needs populations (including Veterans and individuals with mental and/or physical disabilities).

Outreach

The Law Center maintains a wide network of collaborative partners throughout Georgia. This enables our staff to connect our clients to a wide variety of social services including affordable housing, child care, mental health and substance abuse treatment, Veterans services, and more. In addition to our posted intake hours, we also conduct intake onsite at several shelters throughout metro Atlanta.

Annual Results

The Georgia Law Center for the Homeless sees 1,000+ clients and their families in a given year. On average, our staff generate over $300,000 for clients yearly via successful wage claims, securing benefits, reducing debt, procuring child support, and more. In addition to securing income, we are successful at reversing wrongful evictions, preventing other evictions—which helps families avoid homelessness altogether, and removing other obstacles to permanent housing. Our attorneys have a 98% success rate in court.
